The classic for extreme parallel offset (also previously known as NSB):  Compact in length and a torsionally stiff performance shaft connector, which compensates variable parallel shaft offset, without introducing side loads, installed into an exceptionally narrow ‘envelope’.  Applications include:  Printing, Roll forming,Laminating, Corrugated & Paper making machines.   The Range covers Offsets up to +/- 260mm (with a 25% min.) and is now split into 3 separate Series:-

  • STANDARD = ‘S’ Series  (3 Link range):  Torques (Tkn) up to 3,830Nm
  • POWER PLUS = ‘P’ Series  (4+5 Link range): Torques (Tkn) to 6,610Nm
  • OFFSET PLUS = ‘V’ Series (Longer Links):  Extreme Offsets, to 3830Nm

Compensating for all forms of shaft misalignment(also previously known as NFB/NKB/AKL), this torsionally-stiff, precision shaft connector accommodates for ‘bedding down’, assembly, manufacturing tolerance, wear & specific operation alignment limitations.  Angular velocity of connected shafts remains totally synchronised irrespective of misalignment and no restoring reaction forces are induced to load the support bearings.   Applications include:  Printing, Packaging & Mechanical handling machines, Testing units and Machine tools.   The range covers Offsets from ‘In-line’ to +/- 6.5mm and is now split into 3 new separate Series:-

  • STANDARD =‘F’ Series (Std Centre/Parallel Link Pairs):  Torques (Tkn) to 7,000Nm
  • COMPACT PLUS =‘C’ Series (Routed/housed Link Pairs):  Torques (Tkn) to 7,000 Nm
  • DYNAMIC =‘D’ Series (Aluminium, Compact ‘Routed-Links’):  Torques (Tkn) to 180Nm

Controlflex®

Designed specifically to accommodate all encoder shaft connection needs, the patented Delrin® central ‘frog’ flex-element, with parallel Link-pairs (each pair at 90º), which pivot on the drive pins one end and bend over a long length from the other (all in one plane), transmits torque backlash-free, at constant velocity.   It absorbs all forms of misalignment (radial offset is large) with very low restoring forces – important for protecting small, sensitive encoder bearings.   With vibration damping, electrical insulation and easy-fit, anodised aluminium, ‘Clamp-lock’ hubs, this makes it a very short, light, high speed coupling.  Ideal applications include: Encoders, Tacho generators, Resolvers, Transmitters and  Control drives.   The Range covers Offsets from   ‘In-Line’ to +/-2mm and is now split into 4 separate Series:-

  • STANDARD =CPS 8.1, CPS 10.1 & CPS 15.1: Torques (Tkn) to 2Nm
  • COMPACT =CPS 9.1 & CPS 14.1 [Narrowed Hubs): Torques (Tkn) to 2Nm
  • IMPULS PLUS =CPS 8.2, CPS 10.2 & CPS 15.2 (Double Frogs): Torques (Tkn) to 4Nm
  • INDUSTRY = CPS 23.1 & CPS 30.1 : Torques (Tkn) up to 15Nm

Loewe® GK

The latest development – a Large Radial Offset/Large Angular capacity Combination Coupling, with both Torsional – and, more importantly – Axial stiffness.  This ensures precise transmission of push and pull axial loads.  Combining single UJ features (fixed axially, with angular bending) and large Radial Offset coupling features, provides pivotal around – and easy-slide radial movement along – the cross pins, between the two anodised aluminium hubs, with minimal side/support bearing loading.   Being in the same plane also makes the coupling relatively short. Typical applications include: Valve actuation, Pick-and-place & Printed Circuit Board machines, screw Jacks & Cylinder/Piston action connections. The Range covers 2 Design Series:-

  • TORQUE = For Rotary Torque and Push/Pull action: Torques (Tkn) to 220 Nm
  • LINEAR = For Precision Push/Pull load transmission: Axial loads to 13,000N (M27)

For servo motor, printing press, packaging machine, etc. shafts, with flexible ‘composite’ lamina(s); up to 3° angular & 1mm radial movement, 7,000rpm and 5,000Nm torque.
